Adam J. Matty, Assoc. AIA
Adam J. Matty joined KM Associates in 2003 as a project manager and has since taken a position of leadership in the firm. He has acquired more than two decades of experience in expediting and building code consulting, with knowledge of the New York City building code and zoning law. He works with clients on all phases of projects, from initial approval with multiple agencies to permits and the final certificate of occupancy.
After graduating with a degree in architecture from New York Institute of Technology, Adam worked at an architectural firm, a real estate development firm, and an expediting and building code consulting company. His background affords him a thorough understanding of the design aspects of projects—an enormous help in advising clients through the process—as well as an in-depth knowledge of Department of Buildings procedures and requirements. Adam specializes in large-scale projects such as high-rises, major alterations, and demolitions—complicated undertakings that require exceptional management and organizational skills, as they involve numerous team members, a complex flow of information, multiple permits, and the coordination of many processes.
