Demolition Notification

Notification requirements for demolition work have changed with the implementation of the 2014 Construction codes. Partial interior and exterior demolition work no longer requires the permit holder to notify the Department of Buildings and adjoining property owners, provided the following conditions are met:
1. Interior demolition work is carried out without the aid of mechanical demolition equipment other than handheld mechanical devices.
2. Exterior demolition work is carried out without the aid of mechanical demolition equipment other than handheld mechanical devices and is a minor alteration or ordinary repair.
