Emergency Work Permits
Due to the recent inclement weather plaguing the New York City area, your property may have suffered damage that is considered an emergency condition. In such cases, work that would typically require a DOB permit may be performed to the extent necessary to relieve an emergency condition without permits initially being issued. Once the work begins, an application for a permit should be filed within two business days of the construction start date; the submission must include a written statement describing the situation and the actions done to alleviate the emergency condition.
If you need our assistance to determine if your situation is considered an emergency condition, please don’t hesitate to email us at info@kmaofny.com or call us at (212) 563-6760. We’ll be glad to help.
